Huang Li, deputy director of the Department of energy conservation, science and technology equipment of the national energy administration, attended the appraisal meeting. The meeting was presided over by Sui Yongbin, chief engineer of China Machinery Industry Federation, and led by Ye Qizhen, academician of Chinese Academy of engineering.

Experts of the appraisal committee carefully and strictly reviewed the development summary report, technical document test report and witnessed the performance test of the prototype on site, which was approved by the expert committee.

The gasket can meet the sealing performance requirements of the pressurizer and steam generator of the nuclear power plant under the condition of high temperature and high pressure. All the performance indexes have reached the international advanced level and have the engineering application conditions.

The qualification of the nuclear grade metal graphite gasket has broken the situation that the manhole gasket for the pressurizer and steam generator of the nuclear power plant is dependent on foreign imports, realized the completely independent design and manufacture, and provided a more economic and reliable supporting for the operation of the nuclear power plant in China and the equipment suppliers.
