BMCSE Tapered Annular Seals

The main body of the BMCSE Tapered Annular Seal is made of flexible graphite and formed into a wedge-shaped cross-section through a compression molding process. Metal reinforcing materials can be filled in as required, and metal cladding layers can be added to the upper and lower end faces to optimize structural stability.

With self-energized sealing capability under medium pressure, the seal achieves sealing with the assistance of medium pressure, making it applicable to high-pressure sealing applications.

Advantages of BMCSE

01. Sealing can be achieved with a low initial installation load; its primary sealing working stress is provided by the medium.

02. Installed in an effectively confined space, the seal will not collapse even when the working sealing stress keeps rising.

03. It maintains stable sealing performance under working conditions with alternating temperature and pressure.

Note 1: The maximum working pressure and maximum working temperature cannot be applied simultaneously.

Note 2: Consult BMC Baohua for strongly oxidizing media at temperatures above 600 °C.
