Today we continue discussing creep and relaxation behavior, focusing on gasket creep and relaxation.
Creep is an inherent property of gaskets. The main factors affecting creep magnitude are as follows:
1. Material and structure: Gaskets made of different materials and with distinct structures show obvious differences in creep performance.
2. Initial thickness: Experiments prove that for gaskets of the same material, creep is positively correlated with thickness. Thicker gaskets suffer more severe creep, so thin gaskets are recommended for selection.
3. Applied load, operating temperature and service time: These factors also directly affect the degree of creep.

BMCSG: Maintains constant sealing stress, suitable for harsh operating conditions.
The hazards of gasket creep and relaxation to sealing systems cannot be ignored. It will directly reduce gasket stress. Once the stress drops below the required level for sealing, leakage will occur at flange joints.

BMCMulgraf: Excellent medium resistance with a wide range of applications.
If the stress keeps decreasing, the gasket may even be blown out from the sealing surface, leading to severe equipment failure.
